  1. Satisfaction

  2. The feeling of accomplishing a task which was challenging, being productive and getting your mind off unhappy thoughts.

  3. define work, if you were living in the stone age you had to eat , so you went out to kill an animal or moving along to the next generation you planted and reaped the crop, that is what you are doing in this generation, it is called survival if you didn't work how are you going to eat, clothe yourself keep warm, etc!

  4. We work to be a contributing member of society. Many people work as volunteers - for no pay - because they want

    to contribute to society.

Unless you are extremely wealthy, what are your other options?

  5. ♥ Social side

♥ Wanting to better yourself at something

♥ Having a goal to fulfill

♥ Creating a career for yourself

♥ Giving back to society. If no one worked, then society would become backward - there'd be, for example, no GP's to diagnose, treat and cure illnesses. I think everyone should try and work to help society as a whole.

♥ That doesn't mean to say that work should dictate your life though, no way. Work shoudl only be a proportion of someones life in my opinion. x.

  6. Your love for the job

  7. You need to work because you have to survive and todays survival is all based around work. Sad but true, social situation, networking, arguments and intellectual challenges all take place at work. At home you are stuck in 4 walls with no one other than kids or partner. You need to develop your brain by working. However, having said that if you are over 55 then being at home is fine.

  8. even if we don't work at a paying job, we'll still need to work to survive - otherwise we won't have shelter, clothes, or food unless you're thinking of moving in with someone who IS working and have them pay your way.

  9. Idle mind devils workshop ,So what are you working on

  10. to take your mind of problems

    give them a social status

    keeps them busy

  11. Some people will work for no money at all. I guess that's when a person has tapped into their calling/purpose/destiny on earth. We are all here for a reason. God created us to do something not just for our own selves to get a paycheck but, to help others at the same time. Yes some jobs do pay a very very low amount but, that job still needs to be done. Working builds character, lessons, skills, etc. In some cases working develops friendships. Lots of people enjoy just being busy. Sometime people are working at some places to bless/ encourage someone. Besides these few examples of why should people work, The Lord has given us all talents and gifts, if we do not use them then well........you can get into serious trouble with THE MASTER!

    Blessings!

    1 THESSALONIANS 4:11

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you

    1 JOHN 3:17

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

    MATTHEW 25:14-30

14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  12. Though money is one of the main aspects, you need to work for your social recognition, acceptance and stature as well. If you are not that social types than you may like to work to satisfy your inner cravings. If none else than you atleast have to work to get your bread and butter.

  13. I think that you can really be happy if the work you do is satisfying. if you are a doctor and you saved someone's life, it would be worth so much more than money, or if you build a bridge as an engineer or design a house which people would enjoy living in/ apart from having children this is the best satisfaction you can get....

  14. experience

    meet new people

    saving for the future

    learn to better ur abilities

to feel useful rather than wasting time doin nothin

  15. Opportunity to meet interesting people who can help you understand others' points of view and who might become good friends outside work.

It can be emotionally rewarding (I am thinking here professions which are badly paid but really challenging and good fun at times such as teaching)

It teaches you excellent time-management skills and many other skills that you can then put into practice in other areas of your life.

  16. Read your own question.

If jobs weren't paid at all but we all did what we could because we needed to in order for society to work then would doctors stop healing just because they weren't getting paid, would firefighters stop putting out fires and nurses stop nursing?

In primitive societies it is no ones responsibility to pick up the sh it at the end of the day it's everyones. No one gets paid they all do it because it has to be done. Otherwise they would be up to their armpits in sh it like we are.

If no one got paid and everyone did what they were able it would destroy the greed we all thrive on and we'd all have a much better sense of society and community.

Unfortunately those kind of societies tend to become branded as cults and invaded and disbanded.

  17. Well unless you are working on a cure for cancer or a solution to the planet's hunger, war and energy problems, there is no other aspect.
