Can you tell me the real price range for apaertment rents in Paris? I'll be living alone so 1 bedroom or studio will do! thanks.

  1. You should ask the guy from Ratatouille... I think he just left his studio apartment and bough a huge house.


  2. For a reasonably good and safe location, you can easily get a studio between 500 € and 700 €/month. If you want to pay less, a room in a shared apartment can range from 350 € to 500 €.

    Always ask if the price includes "les charges" which are more or less the equivalent of the condo fees. If the building has an elevator, a concierge, a landscaped garden or courtyard the condo fee will be higher (the tenant has to pay for them). When they are included, the price will say C.C. ( = charges comprises).

    In France tenants are not bound by a one-year lease. You may leave whenever you want as long as you give a 3-month notice. In some specified cases, the notice period is reduced to one month (for example if your boss sends you somewhere else, if you lose your job, etc).
