  5. I have a large double sized room with its own private shower toilet etc on the upper floor in my apartment in the Santa Trinita area of central Florence. It is availible for 650 euro per month + expenses. The apartment has a large living room with an equally large kitchen and dining room area,it has DVD television and a internet connection facility for a lap-top.If you are interested you can contact me through my 360 details.

  6. i live here in florence, first of all, your looking for an apartment alone with the rooms your looking for? or any separete apartments to cover up 3 rooms? here in florence you just have to be lucky to find a good one, i mean you can find a S***y dirtly apartment away from the center for 400 while another beautful one for 250 in the center. the reason how i know is because ive searched  A LOT in the past, visited thousands. for example one time, i found an add (ill tell you later how to look for them) that was all kinda messy, only written 'ponte vecchio, 300' and the phone # below. it didnt say whether it was a single or double or nothing. and in fact i doubted it would be a good offer, but i did hesistate to at least go and see. when i got there, my mouth dropped, it was in the middle of this little piazza at a 30 sec. walk from ponte vecchio and the apartment was WOW! i was to share the apartment with this g*y couple for the summer, i had no idea why on earth they rented it for such a low price, i mean if it was at 450, i would have still accepted it since was incredibly beautiful. other times ive gone in other periods to see other apartments and ive found the most dirtiest, sickest, places on the out skirts of the center and for like craxy prices of 450, who in the world would pay that much for such a dirty place.

so, how to find an apartment? the trick is here in florence, people put up their adds in every single internet cafe, all over the train station, bus stops, at every universtiy department (the university of florence is divided in departments and they are all scattered everywhere). so you can find these adds everywhere where they usually write whether its a single room or a double or a double you have to share with some one else, where its located, price and whats included. thats the only way to find a GOOD and CHEAP one.

the one you said for 1,450....!!! thats a lot!! if i were you i wouldnt look online, your only going to find expensive elegant ones unless your determined to pay that much. ive had friends who haved stayed in elegant apartments paying over 2,000 a month, and thye are pretty, but like i said it all depends whether your looking for something cheap and acceptable or only expensive and elegant. a good price for an entrie apartment lets say for a two bedroom, one bathroom in acceptable conditions, it would be about 800 to 900. thats a good price, because you would split it with friend of 2 or 3 in each one paying 200 or 400 a month and thats a normal price.

santa croce is a only an area in the center of florence, its not big difference from all the others. the spot in the center i personally like is, santo spiritu, or palazzo pitti, that area i love so much, thats close to ponte vecchio and the streets are cute and narrow. i lived there for about 2 years. i remember the apartment was all kinda old, and not maintained but i chose it only because i really like the people i had to share with and they were all girls, italians, really really nice people (i also consider that before i make a decision where i live) and the prices where ok, it was 250 for a single. for a single usually its about 300 and up for a double its about 250 and up.

other spots where to look for apartments is santissima annunciata, or aroudn via san gallo (alot of apartments there) or, san lorenzo, or around santa maria novella, or anything else right in the center of florence like palazzo vecchio or piazza della republica, thats the eye center of florence.

ok, hope this helps, if you have  any other questions, feel free to ask.
