We are moving to a larger apartment before baby get here. We are not aloud to paint the walls, so my questions is how could I make a really cute nursery with plain white walls? Any cheap, cute ideas? Ohh,its a girl, if that helps. I did pick out a bright colored bedding set, that is pink and brown and some other colors.

  1. I have a similar situation, and I was able to find wall decals that peel off at any time without ruining the paint.  I think it came out cute.  I found them at Babies R Us, and I also heard Target has similar things.  Here is a picture of my baby's nursery:  http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/nurseryroom...

And here is an example from Babies R Us (they also have a few other themes as well):  http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp...

The decals come 4 sheets to a pack, but really have quite a few decals included.  I only needed one pack of them, and had plenty.  :)

  2. They have wall decals that can be put on and removed easily!  Try those.

  3. By pictures in frames or posters.  You'll be able to repaint the walls if some of the paint comes off with the tape.  Put up matching curtains or just wall hangings will do.

  4. I hung the comforter from my son's crib set on the wall. I knew I wouldn't be using it in his crib, but liked the set.

    Great curtains will help, too.

  5. are you creative?

paint on large paper sheets and hang them, use cute decorations  that you place on shelves

get colored furniture or paint it in a nice color that matches the bedding.. hope that helps!

    good luck

  6. Peel and stick decor...I used them in the apartments..when i lived there

  7. Are you allowed to tack things up?  I would recommend a couple of large, bright colored pictures or posters to put up a splash of color against all that white space.  Check out Michaels or Joann's for some inexpensive ones.

I have made brightly colored quilts for some gals and they used a decorative rod to hang up. (Babies technically aren't supposed to have quilts in their bed until they are older).
