I have lived in my apartment for a little over 2 months and it has flooded 3 times. (i live on the underground floor) the lady that works there said it hasnt flooded in 10 years so we moved in there. i asked a lady that had lived on the bottom floor but then moved and said that if flooded there all the time.

it gets moldy and we have to have someone come over and treat it pulling up all of the carpet and everything.

shouldnt she have to rip up our lease or at least let us move to a higher floor ( i know there are some available)

who should i consult? the local judge?

  1. if the problem persists and you are not getting any help for it from your landlord you should notify inspections.  I had a problem with my apartment once because my landlord refused to fix our door so it could lock.  We had an inspector come on and they got him in trouble big time with a lot of violations.
