Apartment with a telephone jack - Pittsburgh?

I am moving into an apartment in pittsburgh and wanted to order the Verizon internet service but I need to know if my apartment has a telephone jack or not. Does anyone know if all apartments generally come with a telephone jack or not? Has anyone ordered Verizon internet in pittsburgh?

most new construction have jacks prewired in the apartment... if there was a previous tenant in the apartment then it depends on if the previous tenant or the painters ripped out any of the wiring before you moved in.. most of the time you will have some existing wiring, but it is always best to check first... even if you order jacks, and you find out there are none, you will not have to pay for them.. and if you do not order jacks, they need to provide at least a demarc point, which is a jack where the dial tone enters into your apartment.. (or the back of the building for single family upto 3 or 4 family buildings)
