Spanish apes are one step closer to receiving the same rigths to life and freedom humans have.

The environmental committee of Span's parliament approved resolutions that urge the European country to comply with the Great Apes Project — a plan developed by philosophers and scientists who say the animals deserve the same rights as their closest genetic relatives, Reuters reported.

  1. I agree. They have rights and deserve appropriate benefits, too. Face it, our genes are almost identical. They are our brothers. Just give them a chance.

  2. Apes deserve Ape super rights.

    Dogs deserve Canine super rights.

    etc.

There is always a group that believes it has the right ethical answers to some issue regardless of sane majority opinion. Unbelievably, they occasionally influence legislators with no backbone who would rather appease the loud and vocal elements.

  3. I agree. My friend just started dating an ape and it's not right when he tries to take her to a movie and they deny her just because she's an ape.

    I mean, c'mon!

  4. Bush doesn't deserve any human rights.

  5. That's nothing compared to what the Swiss are doing
