  1. That and apologize for calling current workers lazy after laying them off. Also apologize for propaganda about Communism and making it out to be totalitarian as it was nothing like slavery as all Communism was about was people possessing their own currency  even making it for themselves. Also saying people under Communism were forced to work by forced labour when they had full possession of their currency.

  2. No, they're not ones responsible for it.

Instead, let's focus on today's racists, like Al Sharpton!

  3. no i dont think so.  im in no way racist and i can sympathize for people that went through segregation and slavery.  however, there have been major changes that have happened and there is now equality.  the current house did not vote for anything regarding slavery or issues of that time, therefore, should we be held responsible for our ancestor's mistakes.  i think we should just drop the race issue and put it in the past.  it gets really old.

  9. They can. It's more of a symbolic gesture though since no-one currently in Congress was even born until long after slavery had been formally abolished.

  10. 1) It never hurts to apologize.

    2) It won't help anything to apologize, either.

    3) The federal government already did something more important than apologize for slavery and segregation, it banned them.

  11. Why not?  Didn't Germany apologize to the Jews for what they did?  The only thing wrong with it is that they should have done it a long time ago.
