Apparently, I missed out... what happened at the RNC???

Question

Everyone is talking about protesters and damage. Could someone please tell me what happened? I completely missed watching the convention because my roommate absolutely hates politics and I don't want to bother her!

Palin has just guarantee Obama the Presidency. McCain should have picked Rommey or Hucklebee as his VP. Instead, McCain thought he could steal the Clinton supporters by picking a woman. A woman that lacks experience and knowledge. Palin is a small time governor with radical views. Palin's environmental views alone will ruin McCain's hope of being President. Obama did a good job of picking a VP with experience. The media will focus more on Palin's faults than they will on McCain's policies.

Pretty much anarchists have been generally unruly.  They've vandalized a bunch and insulted, spit on, and attacked a few particularly unlucky convention goers. 256 were arrested today. They called themselves the Republican National Convention Welcoming Committee.

They should be ashamed of their behavior, but they probably don't care either way.  They just want to be a nuisance.

As far a inside the RNC, Thompson gave a very moving speech about McCain's past that if you really know McCain's, past you knew already.  Lieberman really dismantled the Obama campaign in his speech.  He also called for all Americans to vote for the country first and not for a party.  Naturally, this means vote McCain.
