Apparently I'm missing something??

Question

Ive seen a lot of mommies on here saying that they give their babies raspberries. At first I'm thinking: are raspberries good for babies or something? But then, considering the context they use it in, Im assuming it isnt food. So I am completely lost. Anyone know what Im talking about?

Im confused- dont know how to describe it any better... lol

I know I am not answering the question but I just wanted to say I also had no idea what a raspberry was and now that I know I laugh because I too never knew they had a name. Ha ha you learn something new everyday.

Well, my babies are 15 months old and they have had both types of raspberry.  They love them both, a lot.

i don't know the context, so it's hard to say but could they also mean these things:

it is a teething helper- a sort of pacifier shaped like a raspberry. the bumpy texture helps their gums and assists with the teeth breaking through. rather than having air in the middle like a paci, it's squishy but solid. if they are talking about them in the context of teething, i bet this is what they mean! =)

It's when you blow on the baby's belly and it makes a loud sound. Also, when the baby blows raspberries, it's when they blow bubbles with their saliva.

i think raspberries are noisy kisses, when you press you lips against the skin and blow, making a brrrrrrrrr noise, ya know?  at least that's what i think raspberries are...cute question!!!
