i go to islamic classes, and the teacher told me it was

  3. haram police

EDIT: FIRST OF ALL, IM NOT BEING RUDE, IM TELLING YOU, THEY WERE PROLLY JUST HARAM POLICE, YOU KNOW THE PEOPLE WHO SAY EVERYTHING IS HARAM, SO STOP ASSUMING PLEASE.

  4. Yes it is because you aren't treating the person very well

  5. its not haram...i use it all the time...its not really lying because ur using sarcasm...people can tell....

haram police is a person who says alot of things are haram....but their not true.... or they are hipocrytes......i think!!

  6. I believe there is a hadeeth in condemnation of Sarcasm.

I'll see if I can find it for you inshaAllaah tomorrow

EDIT: (Tomorrow because it was late night for me)

I looked it up and sarcasm translates to: استهزاء or سخرية which are both considered Haraam in the Qur'aan.

  7. sarcasm isn't good

  8. exactly...haram police.....

    no its not haraam.....

and i think you should be smart enough to judge that yourself instead of posting a question about it sister......

  9. o.O I don't see how it's haram, everyone does it, and I'm pretty sure the Prophet PBUH probably said something sarcasticly. I mean He is a fun, loving person.

  10. maybe they mean lying is haram

  11. She'S probably joking with you. why would it be haraam to be sarcastic? and the word haraam shouldnt be used lightly.

  12. im a little disappointed to see so many people agreeing that just because its "fun" or something they do frequently, that means its not haraam. ?? im going to go with the its a sin but not haraam statement as well. everyone should try and follow the example of our prophet saws, and it is very clear that he was in no way rude or disrespectful or mocking of any person, so why should muslims of today act that way?

  13. being sarcastic is fun!

if its haram then im intruble lol

  14. okay lying is a sin not sarcasm- it's weird that people in this section are coming up with things saying that is haram.. if everything is haram then we won't be able to accomplish much in life

  15. its a bad deed

    Believers Sould Set the Example

  16. haha I agree with Muslimah.

What isn't haram? Seriously though, they keep coming up with new things that are haram that I've never heard of before, it's almost ridiculous.

  17. Well, it is obvious that if you hurt someone by sarcasm, that is obviously Haram. But sarcasm with good intentions and possibly no harmful results, I'm not quite sure.

  18. I feel so desperately sad when I read these questions in the Ramadan section. How can so many people live their lives bound by such utter nonsensical rubbish. You are all nuts. There may or may not be a god but if there is he is laughing his head off at you.
