Okay as a child I did not like meat at all whatsoever! Didn't like the look didn't like the taste texture smell anything and most of all that it was once living and our kind killed it! So my question is this..... I started eating meat when i was about 10, about ten years ago and ive since come to realize i had it all right back then and i don't want to eat meat any more it makes me sick. Yet how do i go about just quitting if I'm with people that love meat? And I need suggestions on what to eat and such. I have a basic knowledge obviously but I want some great meal ideas like pasta salad and stuff that maybe others would want to share with me. Thank you and I hope you understand what I'm trying to ask and say!

  1. Some people who eat A LOT of meat might find it hard to quit, and if you eat a lot of meat then just suddenly stop you might throw up.

This didn't happen to me but if is does you might want to gradually take meat out of your diet. For one week take pork out of your diet, then fish, the beef, then chicken. Some good vegetarian brands are, Boca, Amy's, and Morning Star. Amy's sells frozen meals that you can make and have very good veggie burgers. Boca sells lots of false meat foods. And morning star has really good false chicken nuggets. You can find these brands at any stores like Kroger, Whole Foods, Randels, HEB,  and walmart. If you live with a lot of people who eat a lot of meat then you should tell them that you are a vegetarian so when your eating at there house they could make you some sides.

  2. I suggest making the change gradually.  Start by cutting out pork, then beef, then poultry and ultimately fish.

Also, Boca and Morning Star make some delicious meat substitutes.  They're not very hard to find, most grocery stores sell them.

  3. I would suggest meat three times a week and fish twice a week and beans and rice in between, gradually eliminating meat replacing with fresh fruit and vegetable and going more to raw foods

lunch always a salad and some form of protein such as nuts etc:

  5. There is no point in doing it gradually. You only do that if you are addicted to something. If you want to be a vegetarian and find vegetarian recipes then go into Google and you'll find thousands of great recipes. Go into any bookshop and buy a book.

If you desperately want to change your lifestyle, then just do it. Be positive.
