hey there,

i have just booked a trip to paris for me and my boyfriend in septmeber. i am staying at Appart'Valley La Garenne. I looked at maps and I thought it seemed like a convienent location. I will be getting the eurostar from london to paris gare de nord. Does anyone know how far the station is from the hotel? How to get there etc? Also is it difficult to get from the hotel to paris?

thanks

  1. You do realize that location is not in Paris, right?  In fact, it is quite a long distance outside of Paris according to the map.  You would take the RER B, direction Antony from Gare du Nord to Chatelet-Les Halles (1 stop) and switch to RER A, direction Marne-la-Vallee Chessy.  From there, you'd have to take a cab, I think.

There is an Appart Valley hotel inside the city of Paris.  It is called Appart'Valley Austerlitz.  I've stayed there, and it was quite acceptable -- convenient location, relatively quiet, clean.  Just in case you were really wanting to stay in the city...If your planned activities are in the city, it doesn't make sense to stay at Garenne -- it's expensive and time-consuming to ride the train back and forth.
