Appearance question (please read on...)?

Question

I'm tired of people always assuming I'm super insecure (apparently I look like I am?) I've even had some guy message me on a dating site just to tell me: "It seems like youre a confident woman in your profile but you have this 'am i pretty?' look on your face in all your pictures"

I have been told so many times that I look really insecure but when people get to know me they realize that I'm actually quite happy with who I am and what I look like. So, what I'm asking is: what about someones appearance makes them seem insecure anyway?

Not having seen any photos, it is hard to answer this question.  However, some people read the position of a person's head with respect to the camera as a sign of confidence or insecurity.  If you are frequently looking up at the camera or appear to be pleading or asking a question with your eyes, some people will see this as insecurity.  However, a straight-on look, or even looking down at the camera can suggest the opposite.  

Frankly, I think you should re-think your own interest in people who would make these kinds of assumptions based on photographs.
