The kids and parents are meeting at my house. I want to put out food, but nothing the kids can spill on their gowns and tuxes. Finger food is the easiest. Any suggestions?

  1. I'm having a spouses get together for are Family Readiness group soon.  I'll be serving ham/turkey pinwheels, stuffed mushrooms, venetian sausage bites, veggies w/ dips and assorted crackers w/ cheese.  I will also be having fruit kabobs w/ chocolate and white chocolate dip and assorted pastries.

  2. if its right before the prom you can bet that the girls will not be eating for fear of spilling anything, and they paid all that money for a ticket because they will be eating there! Food for the hard working parents who had to stress out about prom the whole week before the party would be nice. Small finger sandwiches(which the boys will be happy to eat as well, because most boys are always happy to eat). Or a more gourmet direction like grilled bacon-wrapped olives, curried chicken tea sandwiches, vegetable pizza squares etc. i also suggest staying away from dips and salsas, good luck!

  3. What is the prom theme?  I would try to stick with that, maybe like hawaiian style seasoned chicken tenders but on skewers, drinks in smaller cups. Or what about a buffet style, or maybe a post prom party brunch?  I think that would be fun, you can have like ballon bouquets, glasses made with their theme centerpieces.  To make it really exceptional visit saveoncrafts.com they have unique items there.

  4. Get some fruit and maybe get some cookies.

  5. Freshly made fruit kebabs

    sandwiches avoid mayo

    goats cheese and garlic bruschetta

tomato and zucchini and cheese tarts made with puff pastry

    potato and rosemary pizza

    sumac wedges

spinach and ricotta dip served with sliced french bread sticks

    chili popcorn

    chicken and rice paper roll

    for a sweet tooth

    caramelized apple tart

    Baklava

    rum balls

    For all tastes

    Hope this was helpful
