Apple I-Touch ?!?!?!?

Question

There is an Apple 8GB iPod Touch (January 2008 Update) and i wanted to know what version it is??

And would i need to install the 2.0 software update???

Correction: There WAS an iPod Touch January Update for 20 bucks. But now it comes with the 2.0 App Store update, cheaper. So you only have to pay 10 dollars for all of it, not 20.

well if ur just buying it then it comes with the january update (that comes with calculator,stock,and other things that are cool)but now u can get the  2.0 update that lets u get applications for just 10 bucks!! but some apps cost money like the games are 10 dollars each!!ya i know expensive huh but they do have some app games for free that are cool or for just .99 cents but getting back to the subject the apple ipod touch 8 gb with the january update is about 120.00 and then if u dont have itunes then u need to download itunes on apple.com and make a accont and then go but a itunes card or if u have a apple :) then go to limewire.com and download limewire(VERY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE READING)ONLY DOWNLOAD IF U HAVE A APPLE limewire gives to many virsis away and apple rarely gets virsis so if u have a hp(which suck..)u have to pay for ur music but if u get the ipod then hook it up to ur computer and let it sync and ta-da u have a ipod touch!!!yay

Not sure if Itouch and the Iphone have some of the same features but I know on my Iphone I go into settings then general settings then about and it whows me what version i have. maybe its the same with the itouch
