Apple computers and sims 2?

Question

I'm thinking about getting a new apple desktop computer. It's gonna have the required specs and everything for sims 2 but will it run since it's a mac? Right now I have an hp so I don't know anything about it. Also, I have like 4 expansions and 2 stuff packs and lots of custom content in my downloads folder. Will that stuff work too? If you have an apple computer with sims 2, do you reccomend any models? Thanks so much =)

Well if you plan on just being able to install them normaily you will be out of luck.. It wont work so you will either have to buy the mac editions of the games or  google WINE Emulator its a program that alows you to run all of your windows programs with a bit of work on the mac Operating system. Or of course you can always just run BOOTCAMP and install XP or vista.
