Question:

Apple pie in Philadelphia?

O.k., I used to live in Philly about 10 or so years ago. Somewhere i think on Pine st. there was a little bakery/brunch/ice cream place that always had humungous apple pies in the windows. If you ordered a slice it was about 8 inches high! I'm going there with my kids this week and I don't remember what the place was called or if it is still there. Anyone?

  1. You are probably talking about "Not Just Ice Cream".  They had the most amazing apple pie.  I haven't been there in years (and I don't even know if they are still around).

  2. This is the only Bakery I could find on Pine Street in Philly.

    Hope it's the right one.

  3. You are thinking of:  More than Just Ice Cream.

We got 2 slices from there (I was living in South Philly at the time) - it fed 5 of us!  EXCELLENT food, but wonderful desserts.

The address given is this:  More Than Just Ice Cream

but I remember them being on Pine St. between 11th and 12th - closer to 12th.  They may have moved.

    Good luck!
