Apple snail in breeding trap?

hi i decided to get some plants for my tropical tank

i had an apple snail in the tank but they eat plants

can he live in a breeding trap (with holes) inside my aquarium

it allows him to get air and feed etc

he eat flakes

  1. That's not very nice, he needs the whole tank to roam around and will help keep your tank clean.  Maybe you take your snail back to the store or give it away.  I have 4 mystery snails and they don't really cause any problem with my many plants.


  2. We have had several apple snails over the years. Some snails will eat the plants and others won't. I would put him in the aquarium and see what would do. But, its not a good idea to put him in the breeding trap.
