Applebee's hostess/tip share?

Question

for a host or hostess at Applebee's, about how much do they get paid? and do they get tip share?

i heard host's get less than minimum wage, like $2-$3 / hr

is that true?

sharing personal experience would be appreciated

Hostess make minimum wage,  and if servers wish can tip them out.  But,   If the restuarant pays them less than minimum than the servers automatically must pay portion of tip based on sales to hostess, just like they must to bar area and buspeople.  Depends on restaurant rules.
