Question:

Application failing to intialize?

Today I bought Sins of a Solar Empire. After installing it I tried to play it. I received this error message:

Sins of a Solar Empire.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on Ok to terminate the application.

I tested it on another computer and it works fine.

The computer that is experiencing this problem meets the recommended specifications.

Help please.

  1. The problem is most likely your graphics card.

    A.  But first try to just update your present graphics card driver.

Go to the manufacturers site, and download the latest driver, and install it, then restart your computer.

    B.

If that solution fails to open the game,

    Go to nVIDIA

At the NVIDIA site, link below, you can user their tool for suggested upgrade of your GPU + CPU

First go to Device Manager on Your PC to determine your present GPU and CPU

    -or- go to www.Belarc.com to use their pc hardware reading tool;

    > then go to nVIDIA

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/balancedpc....

click on the button LAUNCH CONFIGURATOR

and in the next window fill in what you have now in 1

and below it will suggest upgrades in section 2

    Always Glad to Help
