Application requires GPA, class rank, ect. but I don't know that I should fill out GPA or class rank of what year (sophomore, junior, senior). I will be a junior this school year.

If I got bad Reading and good Math score on SAT(junior), and good Readin, Writing, but bad Math score on SAT (senior). Can I use Math of junior year +Reading and Writing of senior year for application for college?

Please help!

  1. You have to include your cumulative GPA (everything you have taken so far put together), not just one year's GPA. If it doesn't say otherwise, it would include freshman, sophomore, and junior year (you aren't applying for college yet, are you? You still have two years to go!).

College applications need to see everything. You can't select only the good classes. They will also see your transcripts, which will show them all your grades all the way through high school, so it doesn't make any sense to pick only the classes you did well in.

  2. For your SAT question, yes. The college will want you're best scores in all areas, which would combine to be your best scores overall.

If you are a junior you won't be able to use senior year info so I would use junior year. The more recent the better.

Once you are done with the application hastle and you are accepted everything will be worth it, trust me. College is fun.

  3. You fill out your most current class rank and GPA. And as for the SAT I am pretty sure you can only use one overall test score, the best one. But since you are only going to be a junior you can take the SAT again and hope to get good scores in everything

    Good Luck

  4. Your guidance counselor is supposed to fill out the information about the GPA and stuff and send it to the school in a sealed envelope.

Also most schools do not combine scores from different tests taken at different times. They take your best overall score and use that one.
