Hi, I am Malaysian. I would like to ask if i am allowed to make my Tourist Visa to China in China Embassy of Singapore as a visitor in Singapore?

Let 's say i am travelling to China on 1 July 2008, departing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, would i be able to apply the Visa under this situation? How long validity of the Visa will be given from the issued date if i can apply in this month June?

  1. I would think that you would be able to but don't hold me to that. But I am 75% sure you don't, since literally every hotel in Hong Kong has a service in which they can obtain a Chinese visa for you. Are you a Malaysian citizen or a foreign citizen living in Malaysia? If you are from Singapore, Brunei or Japan, you don't need a visa for tourist vists of up to 15 days. For Malaysian passport holders, Chinese visas cost 30 ringgit for a 3 month single entry visa, or 60 ringgit for double entry six-month visa.

If you cannot obtain a Chinese visa in Singapore, I suggest that you either take a short trip across the border into Malaysia and apply for one there, or take a detour into Hong Kong and apply for one there. Most hotels or other visa services have a same-day or overnight service, and better yet, you don't need a visa to travel to Hong Kong.

  2. you may apply in singapore  keep in mind china visas have changed  on the last  30 days  no more 60  90 or longer visas and so is the cost

  3. in reality, you do not ask for a visa to another country if you are a visitor in that country,

that is usually the rule, now? you may try it? but i do not know if you would get results this way?
