Question:

Apply for Canadian Visa in Europe

I am living and studying in Copenhagen, Denmark. I looking to apply for a tourist visa to Canada.

The Canadian High commission in Denmark has stated that they dont provide visa/consular services and that I should check with the Canadian embassy in the UK.

Now to apply from the UK, ill need to get a Brisitsh visa!

Can anybody help me out with finding another country in Europe (I have a valid schengen visa and can travel anywhere in Europe without hassle) where I can apply for a Temporary Canadian Visa?

I am an Indian passport holder.

  1. Apparently, all visa requests for Canada for Northern Europe are handled out of the Canadian embassy in London.  Other Canadian embassies might not accept an application from you as you have to go via the London embassy.  You best bet is to talk to the embassy in London and see if you can apply at the embassy in Paris for a visa.  They might well say no so in that case you will need to go to London after all.

  2. You need to send the application by mail to Canadian High Commission in UK. If they invite you for interview then u can apply for UK visa to go for an interview in UK.

You cannot apply for visa in any other Canadian High Commission but London, so even if you will apply somewhere else they will reject / refuse your application.
