okay my fiance was deported an given a five year ban which was up two years ago...my question is will i have to fill out an I-212 form and also will i need to get his deportation records? I spoke w/a lawyer and was told that since the crime occurred under the age of 18 everything will be ok but the lawyer wants to charge me 3000 for everything so I'm going to try to do it myself.

  1. The lawyer is correct.  Since he was under age at the time nothing he did will be held against him.

    $3,000 is insane.

File an I-129F and G-325A with the USCIS.  You can find the forms here.....

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...

The application fee is $455.  Any high school graduate can fill out the form and understand what supporting documentation is required.

It's going to take 8 to 12 months for the process to be complete.
