Applying at a Petshop *Help*?

I want to apply to a pet shop, i have my resume ready and everything but i was wondering do you need to know alot about cats, dogs, birds, fish ect... before i start working there and if so what kind of information?

  1. You don't need to know more than the average person, they usually have informative classes. As long as you've had quite a bit of personal ownership with animals, you should be okay. Good luck!


  2. It's much more important to be neat, clean, polite and on time for your interview.  Willingness to learn is more important than knowledge.  Enjoy the interview and enjoy talking and interacting with people.  This will impress more than just knowing facts.

  3. i don't know what you have to know but from experience i hate going to a pet shop and there are people working there who don't know anything about the animals there. i would recommend looking up information on all the animals in the store so that you know some basic information. You should know what they eat, what kind of habitat they live in, and what kind of owner they are good for.
