Applying for GreenCard?

Hello, I am on H4 Visa and it is valid for another 2 years and my Husband is on H1 Visa. My sister is a U.S Citizen and she can sponsor for my GreenCard now. I want to know is it possible for her to sponsor for my GC since i am Already on H4 and am residing in U.S? I have heard that getting GC is lot easier and faster if a family member sponsors , rather than going for Employment based GC. Can someone please guide me. Thanks

if your sister sponsors your visa, it would take you about 20 years to get your green card. once your husband's work visa is expired, you cannot stay in the country because you have a green card petition. you need to go back home unless you find another way to stay in the US legally.
