Applying for a U.S. Passport?

What should I know about applying for a U.S. Passport? In other words, what would I need to apply for one, how much do they cost and so forth?

You need photo id, your birth certificate and passport photos. You will fill out a form that you can get at the application office (most post offices will process applications) or you can get it online. It costs around $90.

Passport photos are small sqaure pics of yourself that you have to get done by someone else. You can get them done at AAA or Walgreens or CVS. They take an instant pic of you. It's a lot like a liscense pic.

You can go to the site below for ALL application info, list of documents you need, and to print out the forms. Then click on the words,"Where to apply..." in blue at the bottom of the page to find nearest place to submit your appliction.  The cost is $100.00.
