Applying for a credit card, have you gotten denied?

How many credit cards have you tried applying for but got denied?

I was denied for a gas card years ago but wrote a letter asking them to reconsider and they approved it.  

Since then I've taught my children that no is not the right answer.  You don't have to take denial laying down--if you have always paid your bills on time.

I have been denied 2 and approved for 4 - really depends on the company, the interest rate, and your credit score!
