  1. Yes.  Especially if you're doing on company time.  If you're just looking for another job while you're still employed, then no you can't be fired for that.  I wouldn't suggest you tell your present employer that you are seeking employment elsewhere, they may start to treat you differently and force you to leave before you find another job.  


  2. Yes you can.  It's best to keep it confidential.  Don't give your current employers as references, you don't want them finding out you're looking that way.  

  3. You are using company assets for personal use so it does not matter when you are on the system. If your company monitors activity they could find out you applied for a job and yes it could be grounds for termination especially if it is with a competitor.

    My advice look while at home apply while at home.  Why risk putting yourself in jeopardy of losing your job before you have another one lined up.
