How much money per hour would be an acceptable amount to ask for? My fiance is an apprentice plumber, and is not sure if he is asking too little or too much when working on side jobs.

  1. well if he is doing side work from a company take what he gets payed from them for them same type of job and add 20 to 30 percent on that for his side work

i work carpet and i see what business mark up on my labor sounds like he has a good ideal of what to charge for his labor

  2. depends on the complexity of the job, if its something as easy as replacing a faucet etc...maybe $20.00...if it involves cutting and soldering, extending a pipline or adding something...go for like $20.00/hr...You don't want to "Give jobs away"..yet you want to build up a "Good Clientele list..and not Gouge your customers...
