Appropriate 2 year anniversary gift..?

In a couple weeks it'll be my boyfriend and I's 2 year anniversary. I purchased a big book of surrealism art (which he likes) and a big book all about photography (which he's mentioned wanting to take a photography class) .. I didn't know if this would really be a good anniversary gift or not.. should the gift be more.. romantic/loveyish?

I think those sound good - if you want more "romance" exchange them by candlelight and over a glass of wine.  The books will always bring back the memories of when you gave them to him.
