I'm writing an editorial---so obviously it's an opinion (if you believe in global warming.)

  1. To reverse the damage.....Time : ? guess 50,000 years+....../Prevent global warming: ... Impossible.

  2. There is no reverse to the damage done...even if every country stopped production, even if every human went back to the wild not even if geo-ingenering makes us feel like allmighty gods...the change in the atmospherical composition is done, and the global warming has started, we feel it like a slow change but in geological times this change is fast as h**l...

We humans have first row tickets in h**l....

  3. Actually this is something that we have been talking about in my "sociology/psych" class.

The thing is, is that we really Don't know the extent of the damage that we have caused. Even if we stop emitting all the hazardous gas that is causing this problem (this very day) The thing is, is that it is IN our atmosphere. We are dealing with something called stratospheric ozone depletion, which is as big of a thing as global warming, but no one really talks about it. The hole in the ozone layer is getting bigger, and that hole we can never reverse.

If we were to get into a good swing of things in trying to reverse the effects of global warming, and try to get to a complete green society it would take more then 30-40 years, And that would only be the beginning of change.

Needless to say, I can't remember the statistic, but it takes more fuel to make 1 gallon of biodiesel fuel than it would take just to run on that one gallon og fuel.

  4. the DuPont co.just made a global air freshener it will squirt a mist over the entire planet every fifteen minutes and will last for thirty days and oh yea wall mart will sell personal ones

  5. Their is no reversal. Their is no going back in time. Nothing you can do to stop evolution. If your writing an editorial you had better do some more research. Because just to ask that question tells me you know nothing about what you want to write about. Now, what was the question?

  6. Zero, zip, zilch, nada. We have not caused AGW, nor can we cool the planet. h**l, we can not even make it rain when we want to.

According to the IPCC, the Kyoto Protocol would cost billions and achieve no measurable benefit. In other words, it is a huge redistribution of wealth from private citizens, to a "global" government.

  7. Face it....your doomed

  8. well my opinion would take forever to say, but if u dont want the rainforest to dry up into a desert sand, u better get off ur lazy azz and do sumthin within 5-20 years or else well die

make your choice, death and money, or life with less.

  9. recycling, not driving SUVs, and not doing other environmentally harmful things will take a few years to a couple of decades

  10. Depends -how long does it take to change people's minds? Since global warming is not only unproven, but actually a GOOD thing, what damage is there to undo?

  11. it depends on how fast we decided to make  change. we have to change the way we life.  we cannot be dependant on non-renewable resources. We need to look at more ways to find fuel for our cars, our houses, and our production.

did you know, that the states of North and South Dakota have enough wind to power the entire united states?  if we could only take the d**n initiative to start making these changes, then we could make a difference.

and, yes, many species have adapted to a GRADUALclimate change. but att he rate we are going, there will never be enought time to adapt.

  12. seeing as global warming is natural it may go up or down at any time the climate is never static.

  13. Every living thing throughout history has adapted to climate change so i'm not sure what the big deal is. Just my opinion and I know it doesn't answer your question... Sorry.

  14. idk how much time but to prevent it from going further we can recycle stop factories from polluting the air stop using gas well really we just need to stop from polluting the air like burning coal etc but there lots more ways to help the environment itself
