  1. I'mnot sure the exact total costs but I have included some info that maybe able to help you figure it out.

I am from Wyoming and one of the biggest places people like to go is Jacskon Hole. It is a neat place but everthying is WAY overpriced. You can stay in Dubois (pronounced the cowboy way of Du-boyz) and have a lot of the same things or be close enought travel to Jackson and then come back and stay in your cheaper but still nice room.

The places I would reccomend would be Stagecoach Motor Inn, Twin Pine Lodge, Branding Iron Inn. These are all downtown in our very small town and very close to places to eat.

These would be the cheapest and I will include links.

Out of town about 20 miles is Lava Mountian Lodge. Beautiful views and a resturant located right next door.

Out of town about 10 miles then 5 miles up a dirt road (in good shape though) is the Sawmill Lodge. Also food right next door and you are in the middle of nowhere.

In the summer time there are a lot of things going on in Dubois such as:

    Square Dancing on Tuesday nights

Monday and Thursday Nights dutch oven cookin (my fave as my mother in law and I do it together) with Cowboy entrainment of Prickley Pair and Cactus Corral, or Ray Calloway

    Friday nights rodeo

Random other stuff thru out the summer including campfire talks about different stuff presented my our museum or big horn sheep center.

The end of July there is meseum days where you can experience old west way of life for a day. The first weekend of August is the buffalo b-b-q and chariot races (also a fave as this is something I have been involved with for a long time and is just awesome to watch, walk up and talk to the drivers and pet the horses aswell)

We have lots of stuff going on and like I said Jackson is just 1 1/2 hrs away. We are about 1 hr away from the entrance to yellow stone park and about 4 hr away from Cody Wyoming. There will soon be a website up with all the good stuff to do in Dubois and I will try to keep you in mind and send the link when I can.
