  1. Because of the other talent in play amongst the contenders I expect Monba's morning line to be 15-1 to 20-1.  While he is trained by Pletcher, he has only come in the money in one of three graded race attempts. Plus you need to remember that the KY Derby often attracts (and allows) a 20 horse field.

  2. I'm guessing in the range of 10-1 to 15-1.  As a Pletcher horse he will have good odds (the same horse trained by a nobody would be at least a couple degrees higher).  Monba won his last start but hasn't really proven himself against other talented colts and his best efforts have come on synthetics suggesting that he might not be as suited to the dirt.  Scat Daddy last year was about 6-1 as a Pletcher horse who had won his last 2 starts (Fountain of Youth and Florida Derby) and never finished out of the money in his lifetime starts (I think I remember that correctly).  Monba might end up on the higher end of my range since there's such a pouring of support on the other Derby contenders like Big Brown, Pyro, Colonel John, and Gayego.  Despite his win, I don't think there's a big public outpouring of support for Monba.  I guarantee that if he wins, he'll definately make you a good sum of money.

  3. 10-1 / 12-1 MOST LIKELY.

    APPROX ODDS:

"BIG BROWN" WILL BE THE FAVORITE @ 5/2

"PRYO" WILL  BE 7/2; "WAR PASS" 5-1

  4. Derby day odds are peculiar.  Holiday odds at races are subject to the influx of fun and occasional wagers.  Factors from "i like the name" to "i like the number" are as much influence as the race track handicapper.  A 2 to 1 could be 10 to 1.  False favorites are common.  Overlays are a professional bettors prospect.

  5. I am going out on a limb here and say 30-1.  He is a good horse, but he isn't a great horse and personally I feel like his chances of winning the derby are zilch...unless all the other horse get scratched, fall down, go somewhere else to race, get sick, etc,.At any rate we aren't picking him to win, place or show--and be we i mean and my new boss, brian. go to our wesite if you'd like and see just who is who and hwat is what.  we don't charge anything so this isn't solicitation on here or anything like that.  u can also go to tipshop.com and se what they r saying.  I like pyro--hate that name but like the horse and if i am right he'll be the next kaintucky derby winner.  GO PYRO--AND WHERE'D U GET THAT SILLY NAME???I hope this isn't a bad omen but 10 men got killed years ago in western kaintucky in a coal mine named Pyto. googld it and c 4 urself. i can't seem to spell but i am from kaintucky.  lol

  6. He shold be long.  anywhere from 10-1 to 60-1  lol :)

As far as I know, either pyro or warpass will win.  There a third horse that may require some consideration, that the horse that starts with the letter S  lol :)
