  1. you could have big plastic flowers and bees and things like that just make sure to make it very colourful. You could also do a theme like puzzle peices (make the walls look like puzzle peices or something like that) Any way good luck and have fun decorating!!!

  2. We did something similar to this at my preschool...

-Children used handprints to make the petals of the flower...they painted it straight onto window but you could get them to do it on paper and then you arrange them on window.

-You could have a growth line---one end a seed being planted, then the roots and sprouting, then small buds and then opening into flower.

-Have a sun and cloud with raindrops over the flowers...

-Then April Showers Bring May Flowers can title going across the top...if you do this with the children and they help make the displays then they can encourage parents to look at the porch display and they can be excited when they see their artwork on display.

Also-you could have things hanging from the ceiling such as flowers, rain drops etc.

-Real plants on the window sill, photos of plants at different stages--children could plant seeds themselves and watch them grow.

  3. Let each child lie down on green butcher paper and mark his/her height. Then cut out the stem of the flower for that height. Let them all make their own flowers to attach to their stems. You can put their photos in the center or just let them make their own designs. Then hang them up all around the center.

  4. We made umbrella's, and the tops of each umbrella flipped up to be a flower. It turned out really cute! The kids cut out an umbrella handle shape for the stem, and two small leaves. The leaves were glued near the top of the stem/handle, onto a sheet of paper. Then the kids cut out an umbrella top shape with a little tab on the top of it. The bottom part of the umbrella needs to be a little wavy, as these are the flower petals when it's flipped up.This part (the tab) gets folded back, and glued to the paper butted up against (or near the top of, since its pre-K) the stem. Now the umbrella top can be lifted up to be a flower! Good Luck!

  5. Have the word April in colors, blue, grey and off white, and watery looking, with rain drops (which you can even put some childrens name on, like if they help cut out) then have may in red yellow and orange, and have flowers all around it
