Are there any apartment complexes near the promenade? I'm thinking of moving to LA & I wanna know.

There are numerous condominium buildings along Ocean, the most famous one being at the end of Ocean at Adelaide. It has killer views. I don't know if they rent condos like they do apartments, or if you have to buy them.

On Main Street, which is fairly close to the Prom, there is an Archstone building, and from what I understand, they are all apartments for rent.

Westside Rentals & Craigslist might have other listings that would work for you.
