Aqa english exam on thursday 5th june?

i have my second english language paper tomorrow on poetry and a descriptive/ explanatory piece. what sort of thing will we have to do in the poerty section, as much info as possible would be really great. thanx

The Poetry will consist of two questions. One question will ask you about a poem from cluster 1, the second section will ask for a poem from cluster 2. Some schools teach 1, some schools teach 2, some teach both. Revise the poems that you were taught. You will have to compare that one poem to any other poem from cluster 1 or 2. Here are some past questions that have come up so that you know what to expect:

-Compare the methods used by poets to have an impact on their readers in...

-Compare the methods poets use to present a particular culture in...

-How do poets show identy is important in...

-How does the poet create an image of a place in...

-Compare the methods used to get across the poets point of view in...

The ... is a given poem which you have to compare to a poem of your own choice.

2. write about metaphors, personification, similies, repetition, layout..etc. and explain them

3. POINT, QUOTE, EXPLANATION and for extra marks COMMMENT, am telling you something, you will NEVER EVER, EVER pass a english exam with out point, quote and explanation.

I've got that exam too and for the poems you'll have to compare 2 poems they will give you one and you pick the other.
