Aqualand, France Speedos?

Question

I'm about to go to France.

I've been to another part of France and have had to wear speedos at a local public pool. (I'm a teen.)

I'm now going to the south of France. There is a waterpark called "Aqualand" and I don't know If this place would let you in without swimming trunks. Do they require trunks?

Ew, why would you want to wear a speedo? That's just nasty, no body wants to see your buisness, even if you do have any, flopping around everywhere.

Hi there, I have been to the Aqualand in Paris and anything but Speedos were forbidden! One of my friends who brought Speedos Bermuda style (thinking Speedos meant the brand!) was not allowed in the pool, the lifeguards will not allow it!  I would sincerely recommend that you wear Speedos. It is extremely common in France so there is not much to worry about.

You should actually prefer wearing them as someone above said they are much more hygienic and safe.

Have a good time at Aqualand, its a great place!

I have just checked their website and it only says that T-shirts, pareos and caps are forbidden in the pools as well as having glass bottles and drinking glasses.

I know most swimming pools in France do not allow swimming trunks that look like bermuda shorts for 3 reasons:

- hygiene (some people wear then all day as regular bermuda shorts)

- safety (loose clothing may get caught in the drain at the bottom of the pool and cause drowning of young children)

- maintenance (the fibers clog the pool filters)

But apparently at Aqualand you can wear swimming trunks, it is an aquatic park rather than a regular swimming-pool. Make sure they are not too long and baggy though, just to be sure.

Edit: Yeah I didn't know which one you were going to, I think I checked the Fréjus one, but if you are going to the one in Cap d'Agde, then you'll be in the largest nudist resort in Europe. Have fun!
