  1. no it needs at least 20 gallons minimum and it also needs a very good filter

  2. The general rule for how many fish you can put in a tank is 1 INCH or fish per 10 gallons. Unless you found an extremely young black moor, he is already too big. Not to mention he is a goldfish, which isn't a big deal if you have a proper filter and appropriate size tank, but they do produce more ammonia and higher pH in their waste. The bigger the fish, the more waste he produces, the more room you have to have for beneficial bacteria. And you must keep in mind that he gets 6 inches long. Despite the myth that fish grow to tank, they DO NOT STOP GROWING, the only grow SLOWER.

  3. Despite the picture, a goldfish like a black moor needs at least a 10-15  gallon tank. 1.77 heated/filted gallons is only big enough for say, a beta, or guppies or a couple of neon tetras.

  4. The black moor will need 10+ gallons to reach its full length and best health. While its still young, the tank you bought will only work as a quarentine like tank, to see if the fish is sick. Walmart has cheap but quality 10 gallon tanks for 10.87. Please remeber that goldfish need a lot of swimming space, and fancies should be kept with fancies, single tailed should be kept with single tailed, so your moor should be kept with fancies if you get others.

  5. This is not a good tank for a goldfish, which can grow to be 8 inches long. I can't believe the petsmart clerk would tell you this is okay. A betta would be happy in your tank, but it's too small for any other kind of fish.

  6. Plz dont get a goldfish for that tank heres the reason why when goldfish hav grown to the size that the tank size restricts them to there insides keep growing and eventually the goldfish will explode sadly i have done this plz get something like a betta or some neons or dianos or something small plz dont put the goldfish through all that
