Say a solution is made of Na2SO4 and H2S. What are possible aqueous species that might be present (species can be separate & not necessarily be present at the same time). Can any of the species be considered for thermodynamic purposes.

  1. Sodium sulphate (as an ionic solid) will be completely dissociated to give Na+(aq) and (SO4)2-(aq)

H2S as a weak acid will only be partly ionised into H3O+(aq), HS-(aq) and S2-(aq), leaving plenty of H2S(aq) undissociated.

There will possibly be a very small amount of (HSO4)-(aq) as well.

And also a very small amount of OH-(aq) from the water.
