Arachnophobia (sp?) question for women?

Question

what terrifies you about spiders? I was thinking about it today and I think that I don't like how fast they can move. I'm always afraid to smoosh them because I think they'll run onto my hand or something. *shutters*

Same here - I have to get someone else to kill them for me. I've had some horrible nightmares about them where I dream that they're right near me on my bed or somewhere in my room and I wake up screaming bloody murder!

It's definitely their legs that scare me so much. The shape of them - they're slightly bent - just creeps me out! That's why crabs and scorpions even scare me, too - those legs...ewe!

I have a paralyzing fear of spiders, the mere thought of them makes my skin crawl.  I guess it would have to be the fact they are unpredictable, you don't know if they will jump at you, scatter off or just sit there and terrorize you..lol  I had one in my bathtub and could not go in there until my husband came home to get rid of it.  I won't kill it if I can help it. My heart is racing right now....

everything i dont like how they scurry around or how they could bit me or how they have such ugly bodies and legs i dont like how they can crawl on u i hate everything about them everything im not quite sure what exactly gives me that O GOD O GOD HOLY SH*T  feeling tho lol

im not afraid of spiders but ther hairy legs bother me quite a bit!

I don't mind the 'skinny' spiders as much. It's the ones with the big hairy bodies!!!! *shudder*. The freakiest spiders though are the ones that seem like they have intellegence. Like I had one that kept appearing around our house only in my spaces. I'm pretty sure it's the same spider because I'd never seen one like it before here in Michigan. It was on my side of the couch, on my dresser, on my nightstand. Anytime I'd look directly at it, it'd run and hide. HOW DID IT KNOW I'D SPOTTED IT?! Once I set down a glass of water on my night stand and picked up my book. A few seconds later I went to pick up the water glass---and good thing I was looking where I was placing my hand--because there was that same spider on my water glass!!!! I would have touch it! Ack.
