Former Atletico Madrid boss, Luis Aragones, is still not convinced the Primera Division is over yet and thinks it will be so if Barcelona doesn’t slow down.
Barcelona’s 4-1 win over the Rojiblancos means the Catalans consolidated their lead at the top of the table. The drop of points by their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, made things even better for Barca as they are now 13 points clear of them.
Regardless, Luis Aragones still doesn’t think the title race is over yet. He stated that it is difficult to predict what is going to happen.
“It’s very difficult to say the League is over.”
Aragones reflected back on his years as a coach and said that once he was 10 points behind and still ended up winning the title.
“I remember when I was a Coach we were 10 points behind and people said we could not be champions, but we were.”
The former Atletico player mentioned that in football anything can happen. However, he stressed that if Barcelona continue this way, then it will be them who will end up as the champions of Spain at the end of the season.

“Especially in the first half, Atletico dealt with Messi very well. But it seems he always appears and gets goals. He has an exceptional mind for football and is privileged technically.”
Barcelona are still unbeaten in the Primera Division. At the moment it seems the title race is just one way as they are nine points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid.
