Former Spain coach, Luis Aragones, disagrees with Xavi Hernandez’s assertions that Mourinho will not go down in history and believes the Portuguese tactician is a winner.
Last week the Spain and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 playmaker, Xavi Hernandez, said that Mourinho doesn’t suit the style of Barca and he is more of a defensive minded tactician who always opts for counter-attacking style-of-play.
However, it is Aragones who does not agree with the analyses of Xavi.
The former Spanish coach believes that Mourinho will go down in history as a winner since he has done more than anybody else as a coach.
“I think he is a winner in football completely and he will go down in history because he has more than anyone done what Coaches must do and that is win,” the veteran admitted.
Aragones then switched his attention to who he thinks is the most influential player in the Spanish national team. He praised Xavi and believes that he is the most important player without taking anything away from the fellow midfielder, Andres Iniesta.
“What [Andres] Iniesta does is tremendously difficult, but the main man for me is Xavi. He practically does not lose the ball and he makes the team play as he wants,” explained the veteran.
Meanwhile, Aragones talked about the reigning World and European champions and said that they are at the top of their game at the moment and it is challenging for them to exceed this peak.
He also talked about Spain’s encounter with the Blues and said that it will be difficult for La Roja to beat the French.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 is at a peak that is difficult for them to beat. But it is a tricky game; it won’t be easy to win against France because they are a tough opponent with quality players,” he admitted.
Finally, Aragones was right in his prediction of Spain’s encounter with the Blues as they were levelled on 93rd minute of the match.
La Roja have failed to register their 25th consecutive win in qualifiers after their 1-1 draw with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon Stadium.
