Arashi likely to be strong in Property Guide Handicap
Arashi appears to be the hot favourite runner for the Property Guide Handicap (Part of The Beverley Middle Distance Series) at Beverly in England on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He has won at this venue in the past and has a solid chance of repeating such
a show once again.
The going will be good to firm in the 1 mile, 4 furlong and 16 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 17:25 GMT. The class-6 event has attracted a total of 11 runners and the winner will get a cash prize of £2,588 in the end.
Looking at the overall statistics of the participants, it is very much clear that no one is in a dominant position right now and the competition will be a close one.
However, Arashi has been performing well over the past few events and will be full of confidence. He has been priced 11 to 4 by the bookmakers. Aliante and Pinotage are the other two runners expected to be fighting for the top three positions today.
The former of the above mentioned participants has entered a total of 36 events in his career and has been unable to maintain a decent winning percentage. He has succeeded on a couple of times whereas secured the third spot on the same number of times. Moreover,
he has finished as a runner up on eight occasions, thus he is capable of battling against the best at this level.
Beverley has proved to be a good track for the Derek Shaw’s trainee, as he has done well here. He has participated in three events at this venue and finished fourth in the first one. He improved his performance next time around, securing the runner up spot.
However, the most recent outing at this track proved to be the best one for him, as he managed to take the top spot in it.
The 2012 season did not start well for Arashi, as he struggled to deliver a decent result in the first few events. Despite that, he bounced back strongly and gave some impressive performances for his team. He will look to continue the momentum under jockey,
Dale Swift, who will be partnering him for the first time.
