Former Sri Lanka captain Aravinda de Silva feels Pakistan have the firepower to go all the way in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2011.

He said that if the Cornered Tigers continue to play with consistency, they have very good chances of winning the high-profile tournament.
“I think Pakistan are capable of winning the World Cup,” said the former great of Sri Lanka. “Their team has some good players but what Pakistan needs is to have more consistency in their game. I think if they can do that then they
will have a very good chance of winning the title.”

would perform well on the day and at the right time would win the 14-nation tournament.
“The results that we have seen so far in this tournament have made it clear that there are no favourites to win the World Cup,” said the 45-year-old right-hander. “Any team that peaks at the right time and gives its best when it matters
is going to win the title.”
De Silva, who compiled 9,284 runs from 308 One Day Internationals during his 19-year long ODI career, said that the thrilling games and the turnout in the cricket grounds during the mega cricketing event have proven that there is no
threat to the 50-over format of the game.
