Arbitrageur tipped for success in James P. Cunningham Electrical Handicap
Arbitrageur has got a great chance of winning the James P. Cunningham Electrical Handicap at Galway in Ireland on Monday, September 10, 2012. He is carrying the winning momentum right now and none of his opponents are in a dominant position at the moment,
which will give him a clear edge at the end of the day.
The weather has not been a big concern for today’s races at Galway. There has been some rain, which has left the going as yielding to soft, but the runners should not worry about that and things might get better before the start of action at 17:35 GMT.
Looking at the recent performances of all the contestants, it is clear that the competition will be a tough one and no one will be able to walk away with a comfortable win in the €7,935 event.
The bookmakers believe that the victory will belong to Fastidious, despite the fact that he has never managed to succeed in his career until now. He has been priced 4 to 1, but the punter are not likely to risk a lot of bet on him. He has participated in
10 events and the best he could manage was a runner up position on a couple of occasions.
However, things are different in case of Arbitrageur, who will enter the race with a starting price of 11 to 2. He too does not have a very good record, as his strike rate is on the lower side. Despite that, the punters will be interested in placing a few
bets on him, as he is in very good shape right now.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in seven events until now, winning one of them. Importantly, his victory came in his most recent outing, which means that he will be full of confidence.
Other than that, the Donal Kinsella’s trainee has finished in third place on a couple of times, which shows that he has the potential to fight for the top three positions. Moreover, the conditions will suit him at Galway, thus he will make things difficult
for his opponents in the 7 furlong race.
Arbitrageur will be accompanied by Andrew P. Thornton, who guided him to his maiden victory recently.
