Arby's owner Nelson Peltz is putting $2.34 billion dollars down on the table in order to buy the rights to the Wendy's fast-food restaurant chain. But is this for the better interest of us consumers? Let me know what you think.

And also, this is a subject of a school project for my 11th grade English class and part of this project was my group setting up a blog. So if you would like your thoughts on this topic to be seen by my classmates then please click on the following link: http://abce.mindsay.com/ and go through the quick 1 minute registration so that you could post a reply to our blog.

Thank you to all that participate in this project and especially to those willing to visit our blog. (Remember, this is for a school class, so keep it clean)

  1. Yes this is a good thing.  It's better than McDonalds taking over.

  2. Yes. Little Wendy could use a hot beef injection.

  3. The merger probably will go unnoticed by the majority of consumers.  Both have unique foods and different items than other fast food giants. That is what gives them a distiction from McDonalds, Burger King..............It will probably increase profits for shareholders so therefore benefit them, and not affect consumers. Businesses care about profit not consumers. Consumers in US do not complain, stand up or make opinions heard.  If they did, prices would not be so high, changes would occur......people in US go along with whatever the government and media feed them, they do not protest like other countries......they also are not fed the propaganda we are.

  4. I can see it being good for keeping both restaurants going, but I sure hope they don't make a lot of changes to Wendy's. It's the only fast food place that has a more varied menu that allows for healthier choices, other than a limp salad.

  5. I don't think anything will really change unless they have both chains selling at one place

  6. Yes, I think it's a good thing.  Both restaurants are struggling against the Fast Food giants and now that they are combined, they can compete on a more level ground.  It should make them the #3 in the Fast Food restaurant category.

  7. I didn't know Arby's was still around...

  8. Arby's is great especially the curly fries
