  1. could be bad wires or coil pack. take it to a professional since there is enough voltage to do you harm if you don't know what your doing

  2. Any arcing under the hood is BAD! The coil pack might have a crack in it which is allowing the charge to arc back to ground on the engine. Replace the pack or have a professional look at it.

  3. About $900 dollars. As coils or (even plug wires) on regular cars get old spark try to take a shorter path to ground. In your case it is Thur the insulation on the side of the coil. All the coils must be replaced! Here's why! Your car has two or three cat converters that do not like engine misfire. The extra fuel from a CLY that is not sparking causes the Cat converter to overheat. Also while you have the coils out replace the platinum spark plugs with the same NGK'S. I hope your engine misfire won't cause future P0430 or P0420 cat converter codes. If some one put Bosch spark plugs in and noticed the sparking it is the extra Resistance in those plugs that may have caused the spark to jump some where it should not. 6 coils please I have not seen any good aftermarket replacement coils.

  4. It may be a bad plug wire too grounding out to the coil pack.......

The voltage will not hurt you(50k volts or so, but not alot of amperage) But it WILL leave a bad taste in your mouth and leave your arm and leg tingling haha(ive done this before)..
