  1. How about the historical impact of processual archeology on archaeological theory?  It's a complex topic that could easily fill 20 pages.

  2. research the egyptian, or aztec

  3. That the Bible can be used as an aid to discovering past cities or artifacts.

This would work, since the Bible IS accurate.

I think you may find good reference from a magazine called Biblical Archaeological Review.

They have found, and do keep finding things that verify the accuracy of the Bible.

  4. The BIG BANG!

    Worms survive!

  5. An interesting one may be to compare two theories such as Marxist vs. feminist archaeology - though those two may not be the best to compare to each other... I suppose the common comparison (and the one you could get really bogged down with) is processualism vs. post processualism.  This would require reading some pretty intense articles and books - not only will it be an interesting paper, but it will get you thinking about things - A LOT of things - differently.  But that would make a 20 page paper go by very quickly.

  6. I took a course in Island Archaeology and found everything incredibly interesting.  You could write about the different navigational systems they used going from island to island as well as write a pretty in depth paper on the ecological disaster humans introduced to new islands (rats, pigs, dogs, snakes--making several flora and fauna species extinct).  Check out Fitzpatrick's book "Island Archaeology" for a great start.  Once you get the key words it would take no time getting wonderful articles off anthrosource and other academic search engines
